A real family favourite, Trevaskis annual Apple Day and Hog Roast has become one of the key dates in our events diary. A celebration of the English apple season and all things autumn, Apple Day is a fun foodie day out for the whole family.
Over 30 different varieties of apples, many from our own orchards, will be available to buy by the kilo or by the box. With prices starting at only £5 a box, this is a great opportunity to buy apples to store throughout the winter.
Soft fruits will still be available for Pick Your Own; strawberries in the tunnels and our autumn raspberry crop outside, as well as all our own apple varieties available for Pick Your Own (if you haven't tried our Queen Cox straight off the tree yet, you really need to - just leave some for me!). There are several litters of rare breed piglets to see and a new South Devon bull calf in the paddock, as well as all the crops growing for the Market and restaurant in the fields, making this a great educational experience for children.
Alternatively, send your liitle ones over to see me in the Kiddie's Corner for autumn craft activities and face painting, while you wash down one of our hog roast baps, with home made stuffing and bramley sauce, with a pint of cider from Cornish Orchards or Helford Creek.
We will be providing the very first tasters of this year's pressing of our own Katy & Bramley apple juice; a much zingyer flavour to the more mellow tones of last year's press, which is still available to buy (and which is flying off the shelves in our 3 for 2 offer at the moment!).
Make a day of it and book lunch in the restaurant -Sunday services are dedicated to the Great British Roast and there are still some vacancies for our ever-popular roast dinners, at 12pm, 12.30, 1.30, 2pm or 3pm. We serve roast meals again at 6pm and 6.30. please call 01209 713931 to book.
Note: Hog roast from 12pm
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
