The day is set to celebrate the very best of Cornish game, while offering an insight into some of the luxurious options available for the Christmas period.
Partridge, pheasant, guinea fowl, pigeon, rabbit, wild boar and fresh venison from Tregothnan Estate will all be available to taste and buy, with our chefs on hand with cooking tips and their own recipe cards for you to take away.
The day will offer a great opportunity to see what Trevaskis Farm can offer this Christmas. With our experienced butcher, Pete Davis, and his team on hand to discuss your individual Christmas requirements, whether it's a local free-range or organic turkey, goose, duck or of course any selection from the game meats you may have just sampled. In addition, there will be tasters across a range of Christmas fare; the new Market shelves are just oozing beautiful and quirky Christmas gifts and made-to-order hampers.
Even better, our head chef James Wearne has promised a delicious selection of wild game pasty specials. Trevaskis pasties are already renowned for using the finest ingredients, particularly the South Devon breed beef, so our special game pasties, with wild boar or rabbit are sure to be a real treat. With game specials also featuring on the restaurant menu and venison burgers in baps available for a quick snack from The Market, Game Day is set to be a real treat!
