Sausages within the range on taste will include: chorizo, garlic and herb, pork and tomato, toulouse, boerewors, saucisse campagna (country sausage), cumberland, pork and leek and classic Cornish pork. These will all be made using our very own rare breed, free range 'Cornish Lop' pigs and are brought to you by Huw Jones who has recently joined our expanding team.
Huw has a long history in the food industry and has carved out a very special expertise in charcuterie. He has won numerous awards in his career, including the original Guardian newspaper 'Sausage Quest' where Huw won the award for 'Best Tasting Sausage' and the rosette for 'Best Tasting Sausage in the Country' from Henrietta Green's 'Food Lovers Britain'. This led to Huw supplying many prestigious outlets, including Selfridges, along with hams and hampers to the Sainsbury family for Christmas. Our experienced butcher, Pete Davis, will also be on hand with all our usual offerings of home cured bacons, gammons and hams and a wide selection of Westcountry, free range poultry along with a range of cuts from our 'South Devon Breed' beef, sourced directly from local farms.
There will also be tasting across the wide range of artisan products available in the farm shop, from suppliers such as Cornish Orchards, Olives et al, A Bit on the side, Trenance Chocolates, Tregothnan Tea, Teapigs, Rose Farm, Kitchen Garden Preserves and much much more...
