Soup of the day served with a crusty homemade roll and butter

Rabbit and game terrine served with a garlic and thyme toast and cranberry and mulled wine jelly

Melon Parisienne, fresh scoops of melon served in ginger wine

Cold fish platter, smoked salmon, prawns and crayfish tails on a winter leaf salad with a brandy and marie rose sauce

Warm chicken and roasted figs over pea shoots and crunchy pistachios, finished with a honey and balsamic dressing

Roll mop herring, beetroot and rocket salad with a sherry dressing

Main Courses

Roast locally reared South Devon beef and homemade Yorkshire pudding, served with steamed seasonal  vegetables, cauliflower cheese and honey-glazed parsnips

Roast free-range West Country turkey with homemade stuffing served with homemade 'pigs-in-blankets', steamed seasonal vegetables, cauliflower cheese and honey glazed parsnips

Homemade peach and Brazil nut roast served with seasonal steamed vegetables, cauliflower cheese and honey-glazed parsnips with a boat of vegetable gravy

Oven-baked cod with a spinach and walnut crust served with crushed new potatoes, steamed seasonal vegetables and an orange zest grenolata

Roasted butternut squash, chestnut and bramley apple tart served with steamed vegetables, cauliflower cheese and honey-glazed parsnips with a boat of vegetable gravy

Desserts

Homemade Christmas pudding served with clotted cream or custard

Your choice of delicious homemade dessert from our counter

We are serving this set menu at lunchtime and evening services now.  We welcome party bookings, large or small.

The full menu costs £22.95 a head, though all items will be available to order individually.We will be serving the set four-course Christmas menu during lunch and evening service, alongside our usual menus for lunch and evening a la carte.

Game Day  - Saturday 8th December
Celebrate the British Game season with Pete and the butchery team, when they overwhelm the TM butchery counter with wild boar, Tregothnan Estate venison, rabbit, partridge, guinea fowl, pheasant and loads more...

 Not only that, but our talented chefs have risen to the occasion once again and are busy dreaming up a wealth of pies and pastries with a gamey theme for sale in TM that day. There will be cheese tasting with Richard from Hawkridge Dairies, as well as a huge array of festive decorations and gifts. Spice up your Christmas shopping, with a warm cup of delicious Cornish Orchards mulled cider or apple juice.

And don't forget our beautiful Noble Fir Christmas trees will have arrived - with over 300 to choose from you are sure to find the size and shape that is just right for your home!

Christmas meat orders are now being taken!

Pete and the butchery team are already filling the pages of the order books...

Fowey - reared organic bronze turkeys, as well as bronze and white turkeys from Padstow, the finest South Devon breed beef, reared for us in Grampound Road, our home-reared, rare-breed British Lop pork as well as home made sausages, home cured bacon, hog's puddings, gammon and much more. We also have our pork pies, scotch eggs or any other of our homemade foods available to order, for collection before Christmas.
