As I write, the events marquee is being erected right outside the restaurant, with tables arriving for our guest producers who have come to showcase their Christmas wares, and Noble Fir Christmas trees galore are being propped up along the fences. The chefs are busy in the kitchen producing chutneys, jellies and relishes as well as game pasties, stews and pies for the big day (...for a full menu of hot food to be served in the marquee, please see below).
Lanner Town band will be entertaining the crowds from 11.30 - 3pm, while our chefs will be serving a fantastic menu of hot food for shoppers to enjoy with a glass of warm mulled wine, cider or apple juice.
The event is a key one in Santa's diary - he will be joining us from 11 am, along with his little helper Hannah the facepainter.
Guest producers include Nicky Grant, with her beautiful new seasonal truffles and chocolates, Purple Pig, Berryman's bakery, Cornish Fruit Cakes, Polgoon vineyard, Chorley's, our colleague Anu and her range of beauty products, Pomona Street wine vinegars, St Austell brewery, Roskilly's and Halzephron.
Gwinear School will be filling a stall with their home made chutney and Christmas cards designed by the children, with all proceeds going towards their laptop appeal. The school PTFA have worked tirelessly to support this cause so please help us support them too!
New for this year is our Christmas ordering system - all visitors will be given a raffle ticket as they walk through the entrance - the number can be used as a reference when placing a Christmas order from any of the stalls. We will cross reference using this number after the event to make sure we have a note of everything you ordered around the marquee, to be collected in store at a date convenient to you! A hassle free way of shopping, which means you can tick a few things off your worry list well in advance, safe in the knowledge that it will be ready for you for Christmas Day.

Wild boar and Cornish pork burgers with lime, coriander and avocado salad served in a ciabatta roll with chilli jam
Sliced pigeon breast served in flat bread or grilled pannini with fresh organic watercress and redcurrant jelly
Pheasant flat breads with caramelised onions, home cured bacon, chestnuts and apricots in cider and fresh watercress with a raspberry and balsamic dressing
Turkey baps with stuffing, pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce
And for dessert.....Mince pies, Christmas Pud with Clotted cream or Apple and cinnamon crumble!!
